Damon & Naomi guest at day 7 of Yo La Tengo's 2023 Hanukkah shows
Damon & Naomi were the surprise guests for day seven of Yo La Tengo’s annual Hanukkah shows at The Bowery Ballroom last night.
They played a gorgeous cover of Simon & Garfunkel’s The Boxer and also a jaw-droppingly bonkers cover of The Beastie Boys’ “(You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (To Party!)” with Naomi giving it her absolute all.
The show culminated with the band covering Galaxie 500’s cover of Jonathan Richman’s “Don’t Let Our Youth Go to Waste”:
Earlier in the week they had also been the rhythm section for support act Meg Baird.
